Dear Southmoor Families, Join us for Southmoor’s Fall Community Forum on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. This is an opportunity to connect and engage in conversations focused on fostering a well-rounded and inclusive educational environment. This season, we’ll discuss essential initiatives centered on: 1. Global Competence: Learn how Southmoor is equipping students with the skills, knowledge, and open-minded perspectives to thrive in an interconnected world. We'll share our approach to promoting cultural awareness, empathy, and an understanding of global issues within our curriculum. 2. Southmoor School Culture: Discover how we’re embedding restorative practices into Southmoor’s school culture to build positive relationships, foster accountability, and support emotional well-being across our community. This approach encourages students to resolve conflicts thoughtfully, promotes empathy, and strengthens our commitment to a safe, respectful learning environment for all. 3. Parent Education Series: Explore upcoming sessions in our Parent Education Series designed to empower and support families. From workshops on supporting student success at home to navigating social-emotional development, this series is tailored to provide resources and insights that strengthen the home-school partnership. We look forward to meaningful discussions and your valuable input as we work together to enhance the Southmoor experience for every student and family.
