Southmoor Garden Help Needed!

Whether you have a green thumb or not the Southmoor school garden needs your help!
We're looking for volunteers to help weed, plant and tend to the garden again this year. Volunteers will participate in a clean up day in April /early May followed by a planting day in mid-May. After that a weekly sign up genius gives you the opportunity to volunteer to check in once or twice over the summer to help with weeding, watering or harvesting as needed. The best part of working on the garden is that all produce is donated to the JCC Food Bank (next to Benihana) where we make a small contribution to families in need.
We donate an average of about 150 pounds of food each year although we did have a bumper crop a few years ago which led to a total donation of just over 350 lbs!
