Dear Genesis Academy Families,

As part of Arizona’s academic accountability system, our students will soon participate in the annual Arizona State Assessments. These assessments help measure student progress toward state academic standards and provide valuable information about student learning and school performance.

Testing Information

Assessment: ACT Testing, AZ State Science Testing
Grades Tested: 9th &11th Graders High School
Testing Dates: March 24th- April 9th
Location: Genesis Academy Campus

These assessments measure student proficiency in:

English Language Arts
Mathematics
Science

Why State Testing Matters

State assessments:

Measure student academic growth
Help identify areas of strength and improvement
Provide important data to guide instruction
Contribute to school accountability ratings

How Families Can Support

You can help your student perform their best by:

Ensuring they get a full night’s sleep
Arriving to school on time- 8:00am
Eating a healthy breakfast
Encouraging a positive and confident mindset
Avoiding scheduling appointments during testing days

Consistent attendance during testing is extremely important.

Testing Day Reminders

Students should:

Bring wired headphones
Arrive on time
Follow all testing expectations
Breakfast & Lunch will be provided

Cell phones and electronic devices will not be permitted during testing sessions.
