Dear Parents & Guardians,

I would like to take a moment to introduce myself! My name is Kathleen Weber and I am the new P.E. teacher at SOAR Elementary. I am thrilled to return to Colorado to teach at Soar Elementary! Originally, I am from Chicago, so I am a big Cubs, Blackhawks, and Bears fan. However, Colorado is my happy place, so I am excited to be back.

Previously, I taught high school P.E. & Wellness at Evanston Township High School in Evanston, IL, from 2007-2022.  In addition, I taught at Manhattan Middle School in Boulder, CO, from 2005-2007, and Wilmette Junior High School from 2004-2005 in Wilmette, IL. I love to create meaningful connections with my students and share my passions of movement, well-being, and health.

My education background consists of a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology from Penn State University and a Master’s Degree in Teaching P.E. & Health from Concordia University- River Forest. I am also a Certified Strength Coach (NSCA-CSCS) and Yoga Instructor (RYT-200). 

I really enjoy teaching yoga, mindfulness, and fitness to kids since these are lifelong activities. This past December, I finished my Precision Nutrition Coaching Certification, so I look forward to incorporating lessons on healthy eating in the future.

In my free time, I enjoy hiking, skiing, practicing yoga, dancing, camping, traveling, attending sporting events, going to concerts, and learning Spanish. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends, especially my 5 nephews and 2 nieces!
