Dear Parent/Guardian,

SOAR is pleased to announce that we will be using CurbSmart to manage our student release process!

 

CurbSmart is a student dismissal system that synchronizes pick-up lane arrivals, allowing school staff inside and outside the building to coordinate the safe and organized release of students after school.  Staff will be outside in orange vests using a smartphone or other device in which inside staff view a list of student names on another device at a location where they release the students. 

In an effort to provide the safest and most efficient release of students from our school, please be advised of the following rules and procedures:

·         Instead of car tags this year families will be able to check themselves in to notify their student that they have arrived via the CurbSmart Parent App. Please download the CurbSmart Parent App and register. You must enter our school code 8318 to register for SOAR.

·         When creating your account, you will be asked for a “Placard Number.” This number is your student’s 6-digit DPS student number or lunch number. You can find this number from your parent portal.

·         Attached in this packet are maps and directions of how to safely drive through arrival and dismissal.

·         Please visit https://nutrilinktechnologies.com/support/ and click on CurbSmart Help for Parents link for an FAQ and videos on how to register, check in, and any other information you may need.

What is the code to register on CurbSmart?

                The code to access SOAR’s students for dismissal is 8318. If you continue to have trouble please reference the CurbSmart Help Page at https://nutrilinktechnologies.com/support/ Click on Help for Parents under the CurbSmart Logo.

The Dismissal car line is too long!

                We offer so many alternatives to the car line like signing up for the Safe Ride to School Shuttle or signing up for after school care with Leading Edge and I Have a Dream Foundation. Please contact the Front Office for more information!

I accidentally turned on Walden from Green Valley Ranch Blvd.

                That is ok! Please turn down the street next to Starbucks and you may join the carline at Yampa. During arrival and dismissal, the entrance to Walden St from GVR Blvd is for busses only.

I have been parked for a long time and I still don’t see my student.

                Please check in with a staff member in an orange vest for more information.

When it takes a long time for a student to come out one or more of the following are happening.

1.       The student was checked in early. (If you check in too early your student has come down from their classroom, pickup car wasn’t in the pickup zone yet so the student gets back to class.

2.       The student isn’t moving quickly through the school building.

3.       There is an error in the system.

Another car has cut me off or is driving unsafe.

                Please call and report the incident to DPS Department of Climate and Safety at (720)-423-3474

I have a student at Rocky Mountain Prep and at SOAR. What do I do?
                There are a few things you can do to pick up your students.

1.       Have both students ride the bus. Siblings of SOAR students are given priority to ride with their siblings.

2.       Your RMP student can have the app and pick up your SOAR student via CurbSmart.

3.       You can pick up your RMP student through their car line and join ours in the parking lot. Just continue forward and not exit.

I see specific cars being dropped off and picked up from the circle employee lot!

                These students have been specially approved for a one to one hand off at arrival and dismissal. Please reach out to the Front Office if you have any questions.
