As our days become colder, please take the time to review these reminders regarding inclement weather:
 

• Please send your child to school dressed appropriately for the weather. Students will have outdoor recess anytime its over 20 degrees.  This requires students to have coats, hats, and gloves.
• SOAR follows Denver Public Schools (DPS) decisions regarding weather-related school delays/closures. DPS will immediately notify local television (channel 9, 7, 31, etc.) and radio stations, which will broadcast regular announcements of school closures and delays. We also will send an email, app notification, post on social media and on our website. 
• Students do not enter the building early on cold weather days. Students should not be dropped off prior to 8:25 AM. Students arriving before 8:25am, are at risk for being outies in the cold, unsupervised and will be referred to our School Social Worker.
