Dear SOAR Families,

Today, we conducted a campus-wide lockdown drill at SOAR Elementary School. During the drill, both staff and students followed the safety protocols established by the district to ensure preparedness in the event of a real emergency.

The drill lasted approximately 10 minutes and was overseen by the Denver Public Schools Department of Safety and Climate. These drills are essential to help us practice safety procedures, so in the event of a dangerous situation on campus, our staff and students can respond quickly and effectively.

Please find the attached letter from the district with more details on the importance of these drills and other safety protocols we practice throughout the year.
