Hello SOAR Families,

SOAR does not celebrate holidays during the school day. The purpose of this policy reflects our respect and sensitivity to all traditions, and inclusiveness on behalf of all children and protection of educational classroom time.

As such, Halloween is a regular school day and we leave it to parents/guardians as to how or if they want to celebrate at home. Costumes and costume accessories are not permitted at school. 

Also, please remember our food policy, as part of our wellness efforts, SOAR does not allow children to bring dessert (i.e., candy, cake, cookies, pudding or jello). In addition, we don’t allow nuts/peanuts or peanut butter due to allergies. For beverages, we allow unsweetened milk or soy milk, water or 100% fruit juice.
