Hello SOAR Families,

I hope you are having a nice start to the week! We have a few updates about conferences and the book fair due to the cancellation last Thursday since we did not have heat at SOAR!

• Day 2 of Conferences are still scheduled for tomorrow, Tues. Nov. 12th from 3:20-7:20 PM. Be sure to connect with your child’s teacher and sign up on the Sign Up Genius link for in person conferences tomorrow. If you can’t come tomorrow, please remove your name to open up a slot for another family to come.
• Day 1 of Conferences was cancelled last Thurs. Nov. 5th due to SOAR not having heat. SOAR will not reschedule another evening of conferences to make-up for the cancellation. However, teachers will be reaching out to parents to give options to meet in person after school, via phone or via Microsoft Teams in the next 2 weeks leading up to our November Break if you can’t make it tomorrow.
• If your child is on a READ Plan, it is important to have a conference so that your teacher can share how to support your child at SOAR with literacy/reading.
• The Book Fair will run tomorrow as scheduled, Tues. Nov. 12th from 4:00-7:00 PM. We will also have the Book Fair on Thurs. Nov. 14th from 7:40 AM-3:30 PM in the Lower Commons.
