Dear SOAR Families,

We’re excited to invite you to Multicultural Night on Thursday, December 5th, from 4:00 – 5:30 PM in the cafeteria! Even if you haven’t signed up yet, we would LOVE for you to participate. Here’s how you can get involved:

Option 1: Bring a Dish 🍴

Celebrate your culture by sharing a dish!

• Drop-off time: Please bring your dish to the cafeteria by 3:50 PM for setup. Enter through Building 1 and the long walkway—knock, and a SOAR staff member will assist you.
• Table tent: Create a paper table tent with the name of your dish and its cultural origin.
• Ingredients/directions: Consider including a note or printout with the ingredients and recipe for guests who might want to try making it themselves.

Option 2: Host a Culture Booth 🎨

Showcase your heritage by creating a Culture Booth!

• Setup time: Please arrive by 3:45 PM to set up your booth in the cafeteria. Enter through Building 1 and the long walkway—knock, and a SOAR staff member will assist you.
• Table space: You’ll have space to display your board or items. If you need additional space, let us know in advance.
• Materials: Markers and trifold boards are available at the front office—feel free to grab what you need!
• What to include: Let your creativity shine! You can feature:
  • Language (how to say hello)
  • Photos
  • Literature (books, poems)
  • Climate or topography
  • History, art, music
  • Customs, rituals, holidays, or unique traditions
  • Cultural artifacts or 3-D displays
