SOAR Attendance
Dear SOAR Families,
At SOAR, we take student attendance very seriously and encourage everyone to develop strong habits of attendance, including arriving on time, every day.
Consistent attendance is crucial for student success. Regular attendance not only helps students stay engaged in their learning but also sets the foundation for a brighter future across all grade levels. Missing too many days can cause students to fall behind academically, and, in some cases, lead to dropping out. Missing 10% or more of the school year—approximately 18 days, or just two days per month—can have a significant impact on a student’s progress.
For your child’s academic success, it's important that they arrive on time and stay for all classes. Being on time gives your student a positive start to their learning day.
Reporting absences to the school's front office is essential to ensure that any absence is properly recorded and does not negatively impact your child's attendance record. Any students arriving at or after 7:40 AM will need a parent/guardian to come inside to sign them in.
School Hours:
- Breakfast Starts: 7:10 AM
**Note** - Please do not drop off your students prior to 7:10 AM; there is no staff supervision prior to 7:10 AM.
- Instruction Starts: 7:40 AM
**NOTE** - Students arriving at 7:40 AM or after must be signed in by their parent/guardian in the main office.
- Dismissal starts: 2:40 PM
- Office hours: 7:40 AM - 3:30 PM
- Please note: Students will not be released for early pick-up after 2:15 PM. The office will re-open from 2:40 PM to 3:00 PM.
