From the Eagle County Sheriffs Office:
July 22, 2026 8:00 p.m. Sleepy Creek Fire Update: Crews will continue to work on containment and monitor the fire throughout the night. Fire crews hope to have a containment line around the fire by tomorrow (7/23) afternoon.
Evacuations along Buck Point Drive (zone RFF-257) are still in place. The area surrounding the evacuation area (zone RFF-522) remains under pre-evacuation.

Cottonwood Pass will remain closed overnight.
