Crews worked overnight, with the help of a little rain, to stop the fire from spreading. Teams from Roaring Fork Fire Rescue, Aspen Fire, Carbondale Fire, and the Upper Colorado River Interagency team will continue to work on establishing containment today.
Evacuations along Buck Point Drive (zone RFF-257) are still in place. The area surrounding the evacuation area (zone RFF-522) remains under pre-evacuation.
Cottonwood Pass remains closed.
The fire is still estimated to be 4 acres.
Crews are also evaluating the power line near the base of the fire. They are working to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.
