Hello SOAR Families! 

The Solar Eclipse is tomorrow, Monday, April 8th! In line with the guidance that we have received from the district, under no circumstances will any student be allowed to view the solar eclipse WITHOUT eclipse glasses. 

Our 5th grade students and teachers will be provided with eclipse glasses for their studies of the orbit of the sun and moon, and specifically the movement of shadows as part of the Colorado science standards. 

We have adjusted the recess times to prevent any risk to non-5th grade students.

We are excited to witness this event with our students and would ask that you also speak with your child about safety when viewing a solar eclipse. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.
